Language Arts

At the end of the school year, the three-year-old student will be able to:
• Listen quietly during story time
• Independently look at a picture book, identifying pictures, colors, or letters
• Remember events of a story
• Use age appropriate language and vocabulary when speaking
• Understand the left to right progression of the printed word
• Begin to recognize some of the letters of the alphabet
• Recite the alphabet
• Recognize and begin to print their first name
• Practice pre-writing skills through letter forming exercises
• Participate in group and independent activities

Math

At the end of the school year, the three-year-old student will be able to:
• Count from 1-15 in sequence
• Recognize and identify the numbers 1-10
• Begin to write the numbers 1-10
• Identify 4 common shapes: triangle, square, circle, and rectangle
• Sort and classify items according to size or color
• Identify colors

Science

At the end of the school year, the three-year-old student will be able to:
• Identify and distinguish the 4 seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer
• Identify what happens in the different seasons
• Understand and identify different weather happenings
• Recognize and explore our 5 senses

Social Studies

At the end of the school year, the three-year-old student will be able to:
• Recognize that everyone has different feelings
• Identify people and places in their community
• Understand different family relationships
• Help and cooperate with family, friends, and other adults
• Identiy what people need to survive

Religion

At the end of the school year, the three-year-old student will be able to:
• Understand that God created all living things
• Understand that God and Jesus love them
• Identify who Jesus, Mary, and Joseph are
• Recognize that God gave us all sorts of things to be able to live
• Make the sign of the cross
• Recite morning, and snack/lunch prayer

Gross Motor Skills

At the end of the school year, the three-year-old student will be able to:
• Hop on 1 foot and both feet
• Alternate feet when climbing stairs
• Kick a large ball when stationary and rolling
•Throw a ball underhand to an adult
• Run on toes and feet without falling
• Avoid obstacles in path when running

Fine Motor Skills

At the end of the school year, the three-year-old student will be able to:
• Use scissors to cut straight and curved lines
• Hold scissors properly
• Complete puzzles with at least 10 pieces
• Hold crayons and markers properly
• Use time, color, care when working on an art project using markers, crayons, paints or watercolor

Social Skills

At the end of the school year, students will be able to: 
• Follow the rules given to them
• Put toys away when asked by an adult 
• Show increasing control over emotional feelings
• Separate easily from the family member
• Share toys with others in the classroom 
• Say "please" and "thank you" without being asked
• Take pride in their work and accomplishments

The 3-year-old student has the option of staying full-day from 8:00-2:25 or half-day from 8:00-11:25. They must be 3 years old by September 1st.
