We Can Make A Difference

WINGS provides a pathway to independence for adults and children who are escaping from domestic violence and abuse. Their goal is to provide the tools and support necessary to ensure that victims can escape their abusers and begin building new, violence-free lives.

Student Council Involvement:

The Little Sisters of the Poor are an international congregation of Roman Catholic women founded in 1839 by Saint Jeanne Jugan. Together with a diverse network of collaborators, they serve the elderly poor in over 30 countries around the world.

Continuing the work of Saint Jeanne Jugan, the mission of Little Sisters of the Poor is to offer the neediest elderly of every race and religion a home where they will be welcomed as Christ, cared for as family, and accompanied with dignity until God calls them to himself.

Little Sisters of the Poor contributes to the Culture of Life by nurturing communities where each person is valued, the solidarity of the human family and the wisdom of age are celebrated, and the compassionate love of Christ is shared with all.

Every year SCL embarks on a mission to collect a certain amount of cans for donation to this wonderful organization. This year we collected 3,000 cans!  Go Crusaders!
