Bus Service

Bus service will be available for Glenview District 34 residents. There will be no bus service on Wednesday mornings and on days when District 34 is not in attendance. The 2024-2025 Bus form is due to the office by June 26, 2024 at 11 am.

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

 

PRESCHOOL

  • Arrival: The 3rd and 4th aisles of the back parking lot will serve as a one-way "U" pattern for drop off. Cars will drive all the way toward the south edge of the back parking lot and turn left down the 4th aisle. Pull up to the doors at Entrance K (Early Childhood Center). Your student will be helped out of the car by a staff member, walked into the building, and dropped off at their classroom. Cars should proceed down the 3rd aisle to exit the "U". No parking or standing is allowed in this area.
  • Dismissal: Cars will drive all the way toward the south edge of the back parking lot and turn left down the 3rd aisle. Please park in the spaces at the south end of the parking lot in front of the Early Childhood Center. Students will be waiting with their teachers at the front of the building. All parents/guardians must walk up and sign out their student with their student's teacher.

 

KINDERGARTEN THROUGH THIRD GRADE

  • Arrival: Cars will drive into the front circle by the flagpole. Pull up to the doors at Entrance A (main entrance). Students will be helped out of their car and a staff member will show them to their designated classroom in the North hallway. If older students have siblings in grades K–3, they can be dropped off at the front circle as well. 
  • Dismissal: Students will be in the gym with their teachers. Each class will have a designated area. Parents/Guardians will park their cars and walk into the gym to sign out their child(ren). 

 

FOURTH THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE

  • Arrival: The 1st and 2nd aisles of the back parking lot will serve as a one-way "U" pattern for drop off. Cars will drive into the back parking lot and turn left down the 2nd aisle. Pull up by Entrance E (gym doors) to drop students off. A staff member will be there to greet them, and show them to their designated classroom in the South hallway if necessary. Cars should proceed down the 1st aisle to exit the "U". No parking or standing is allowed in this area. 
  • Dismissal: Students will be in the gym with their teachers. Each class will have a designated area. Parents/Guardians will park their cars and walk into the gym to sign out their child(ren). 

 

STUDENTS TAKING THE BUS

Students who take the bus will walk to the front foyer and wait together for the buses. A staff member will ensure that students get on the correct bus. Students waiting for the bus are expected to sit quietly in the front foyer until it is time to leave.

 

BIKING OR WALKING TO SCHOOL

Students are permitted to walk or ride bicycles to school; however, the school must have a proper Authorization Form on file for the current year. Students should use a lock and chain to secure their bicycles outside of the school building on the bike rack outside the school lunchroom. The school takes no responsibility for lost or stolen bicycles.

 

LATE ARRIVAL

Students that arrive at school after the first bell has rung are considered tardy and must come through the main entrance and report to the school office upon their arrival.
