Faith Based Education
Our Catholic faith is the foundation of our academic philosophy at St. Catherine Labouré School. Following the model of Jesus, the Master Teacher, we strive to educate students who are truly global citizens formed on a solid foundation of good character, morality, and justice.
SCL teaches a robust religious program that incorporates catechism, sacramental preparation, scripture study, theology, morality, and service. All students from PK-3 through 8th grade receive daily religious instruction, engage in daily prayer opportunities and attend Mass each Wednesday morning with the SCL parishioner community. Students in 2nd Grade are prepared to make their First Reconciliation and First Communion, while students in 8th Grade prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation. We also engage in frequent service projects that connect us with the needs of our neighbors.
Our Catholic instruction goes beyond religion class to extend into our day-to-day interactions. We guide students in understanding how to treat others as they wish to be treated and in finding ways to be of service to one another. Our students are reflective and caring, and learn to make decisions based on their integrity and moral compass. Together, we form a faith community held together by our commitment to God.
At St. Catherine Labouré School, we truly do have faith in education.
